Facility located in Quantico, Va., provides a
broad spectrum of modeling and simulation
(M&S) capabilities and support services
including:
• M&S workstations and training,
• 3D visualization,
• Virtual reality,
• Group collaboration,
• Connectivity to the Naval System Warfare
Centers (NSWCs) and industry,
• Connectivity to the Framework for Assessing,
Cost and Technology (FACT).
Managed by the Georgia Tech Research
Institute (GTRI) in partnership with Marine
Corps Systems Command (MCSC), systems
engineering, interoperability, architecture and
technology (SIAT), the 2,700 square-foot facility
supports model based systems engineering
(MBSE), weapon system acquisition, system
engineering trade-space analysis, operations
analysis and training.
The unique modular layout provides capabilities
for simultaneous M&S efforts including:
• Workstations for single seat model
development,
• Collaboration area for small workgroups with
computer and visualization equipment
support,
• Collaboration area for larger workgroup
efforts,
• M&S laboratory for detailed engineering and
prototyping support.
GTRI Quantico Modeling &
Simulation Facility can be configured
to meet a variety of needs and uses:
• Workstations
• Virtual labs and meetings
• Proficiency training
• Group collaboration
