GTRI Quantico Modeling & Simulation Facility The GTRI Quantico Modeling & Simulation Facility located in Quantico, Va., provides a broad spectrum of modeling and simulation (M&S) capabilities and support services including: • M&S workstations and training, • 3D visualization, • Virtual reality, • Group collaboration, • Connectivity to the Naval System Warfare Centers (NSWCs) and industry, • Connectivity to the Framework for Assessing, Cost and Technology (FACT). Managed by the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) in partnership with Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC), systems engineering, interoperability, architecture and technology (SIAT), the 2,700 square-foot facility supports model based systems engineering (MBSE), weapon system acquisition, system engineering trade-space analysis, operations analysis and training. The unique modular layout provides capabilities for simultaneous M&S efforts including: • Workstations for single seat model development, • Collaboration area for small workgroups with computer and visualization equipment support, • Collaboration area for larger workgroup efforts, • M&S laboratory for detailed engineering and prototyping support.
