 During the Hydrology Project, Phase I, CGWB
developed a Dedicated Ground Water
Estimation and Management System (GEMS)
Software



It handled a large amount of data,

Originating from about 25,000 manually monitored wells,
About 6000 wells equipped with automatic water level recorders
Exploratory wells etc.

High Database and of IT Expertise by the users.
 Dependencies on specific hardware, system
software and operating system.
 Difficulty in upgrading or changing modular
components.

Upgrading GIS software to current version of MapInfo.
