On behalf of Bhagalpur College of Engineering, Bhagalpur it is
my pleasure to welcome you on the campus. This Institute has been known
for its values for more than five decades, and we strive hard to keep up the
ethos. In case we have inadvertently slipped somewhere, I offer my sincere
apologies. It provides an optimum mix of theory and practical, with strong
bias on industrial applications. In more recent years, introduction of
modern infrastructure have further improved the programme. While the
depth of training in engineering subjects is unquestioned, the spam of our
curriculum is often overlooked. By virtue of their unrattled spirits, the BCE
graduates have aspiration to learn and grow across departmental
boundaries and excel in extra curricular activities. You will be provided each
and every necessary resource for your recruitment process on our campus.

B.C.E. Bhagalpur with its glorious past, has been rendering yeoman service
to the nation and engineering fraternity by channelising the youthful talent from Bihar and elsewhere
and producing brilliant engineers. Our well placed alumni are a proud testimony to this. They have
done the institution proud and carved a niche for themselves, in India and abroad. In these fast
changing times, when demands are many, challenges are multifold and patience in nano-seconds, we
are conscious of the responsibilities on our shoulders. Our students with the cutting edge of
technology, are always alert and equipped with the most up-to-date knowledge. BCE not just provide

Established in 1960 as a premier institution of the State under the administrative control of the
Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of Bihar, Patna, BCE is the Centre for higher learning and
dedicated to serve the cause of well-being of the society by promoting knowledge and providing trained man
power with the use of appropriate technology. It offers full-time B.Tech degree programme in the major
disciplines of engineering viz. Computer Science & Engg, Electronics & Communication Engg, Electrical
Engg, Mechanical Engg. and Civil Engg. Since its inception, BCE has been home to some of the most
brilliant young minds who are constantly raising the bar of excellence in this dynamic field.
Situated in the Silk City, Bhagalpur College of Engineering, Bhagalpur is uniquely positioned
in Bihar for its endeavour to blend the concepts of Science and technology in major fields.

Selection Process
The students have excellent educational background . They have been
selected for admission in the college through the stringent admission test
conducted by BCECE, Board Patna.
Practical Exposure
BCE believes in the importance of giving its students extensive practical
exposure alongside invaluable academic inputs to ensure their holistic
development. This ensures a perfect mix of technical acumen and academic
intellect. Such exposure is provided by means of Summer Internship,
Workshops, Field Visits, Industry Visits, Guest Lectures, and Live Projects.
A four week compulsory Summer Internship provides an opportunity for
students to apply academic knowledge to real time technology related
problems. Guest lectures provide students with a chance to interact with
representatives of the technical world and learn about the latest technology.
INFRASTRUCTURE
CAMPUS
The Institute has a sprawling campus spread over 230 acres located near the bank of the holy river Ganga. The building
complex includes the Academic Complex, Library, Computer Centre, Hostel, Mess, and the Administration and Accounts
wings. The Academic Complex of
BCE includes class rooms, seminar rooms equipped with video conferencing facilities and faculty block. The award
winning architectural design of BCE’s building provides an environment conducive for academic activities, professional
deliberations and social interaction.
COMPUTER CENTRE
The Computer Centre has hardware and software resources that are capable of providing support for diverse computing
requirements. It has a number of computers in Local Area Network (LAN), Internet connectivity and has the state of the art
Geographic Information System (GIS) and image processing facilities.
LIBRARY AND INFORMATION SERVICES
BCE library is an ocean of knowledge and information with a vast collection of books and journals.
HOSTEL, GUEST HOUSE & MESS
The College provides hostel facilities to almost all the students. There are four independent spacious hostels for Boys and
one hostel for Girls on the college campus. All the hostel have the basic amenities , including color TV , facilities for
indoor, outdoor games and common room . All hostels have their separate mess facilities with nutritious and wholesome
food.
SPORTS FACILITIES
A wide range of sports facilities are available on campus including Badminton, Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis, Cricket,
Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Carrom, Chess and Gym. Intra institute sports tournaments are organized regularly.
Institute Activities
Sports Club
Sports Club strives to promote physical and mental well-being through an appreciation of stress, rest and relaxation among BCEians. It encourages studentfaculty interaction outside classrooms through various sports events on Teacher’s day and during Technoriti. It also provides an opportunity for students to
represent the institute at national level tournaments.
Cultural Club
The Cultural Club aims to create a home away from home for all the students who are a part of the BCE family. Right from celebrating Independence Day
with heart touching patriotic performances to the New Year celebration, the cultural club celebrates all national and religious festivals with zest and vigour.
Literary Club
The members of literary club organize activities such as foreign language classes, quizzes, wordplay, panel discussions, etc. for the students. The club also
supports and encourages students to participate in national level events of literary relevance. The mandate of the club is to create an intellectually
stimulating environment on the campus.
School Of Robotics and Innovation
Movie Club primarily screens movies and documentaries that students can watch for entertainment, information and relaxation. This is done through
various events and activities like Movie Marathons Quizzes, Movie Review Competitions and Movie Excursion.
Eco Club
The Nature Club is a group of Nature lovers who believe in taking initiatives towards pitching conservation efforts at societal level, in the interest of
environment. It tries to imbibe love for nature into the lives of all students through flagship activities like cleanliness drives and plantation drives along with
other activities such as photography competitions, bird watching camps, star gazing, night trekking, nature quizzes, t-shirt painting and live sketching
competition.

AAGAAZ- 2012 …a new beginning
Aagaaz 2012, heralded the dawn of cultural extravaganza that colored the many
moods & shades of the college.
Technoriti- 2013
Technoriti -2013,the maiden endeavour to unleash the creative talent of the students. In
doing so Technoriti 2013 created a technical platform for the budding engineers to express their
innovative skills, fervent dramas and untapped aspirations.

PLACEMENT’S GUIDELINE
1. Organizations are invited to participate in the campus
recruitment process and are requested to intimate their
participation through the Placement Participation Form
attached with this brochure.
2. The organization is required to communicate the
detailed process requirements (number of selection
rounds, panels, and process specific requirements) prior to
the Placement process.
3. The organization is expected to deliver a Pre-Placement
talk (PPT) prior to the Final Placement Process. This
would provide an opportunity for both students and the
organization to know each other better and clarify the
doubts.
4. To make a job offer, the organization representative
will have to fill-up the job offer form that will be made
available on the campus. An offer is considered valid only
when this form, duly filled in by the representative, is
handed over to the Placement Chairperson of the Institute.
5. The organization is requested not to communicate the
offer to the candidate directly. A job offer must specify:
a) Position offered
b) Remuneration
c) Job description
6. The representatives of the organization should have the
authority to make the final job offers immediately after
the interviews.
7. The Institute shall host the representatives of the
participating organizations and provide all necessary
assistance to make their stay comfortable.
The Placement Committee will be glad to arrange for the
stay of the representatives at BCE. Guest House facility
will be extended as required.
