Serving God’s
Children in
Costa Rica since 1932
We welcome you and your group as you join us in
ministry to God's children who are in great need.
Roblealto’s History
• In 1932 the vision of
missionaries Harry and Susan
Strachan was achieved. A
dream inspired Susan to
create a Christian mission to
children focussing on health
and education.
• This work began in Costa
Rica's central valley where the
Bible Home now stands.
• Roblealto grew through prayer
and hard work as a diverse
ministry that partner with the
Costa Rican government and
is supported by churches and
individuals all over the world.
Roblealto’s Programs
Today, Roblealto serves over
720 children and their families
through three core ministries:
• Hogar Bíblico (Bible Home)
• Three Child Care Centers
• PROAA (Adolescent Ministry)
These ministries are supported in
meaningful ways by volunteers
and child sponsors.
The Bible Home
• Serves 80 children in foster
care
• These children come from
high-risk home situations
• A healthy Christian family is
modeled by the house
parents.
• The children from the Bible
Home plus 60 more from
the community near by
attend the Enrique
Strachan Christian School
on site.
Child Care Centers
• 490 children are served by the
three Child Care Centers.
• They range in age from 9
months – 12 years old.
• They receive healthy food,
education and spiritual
development while parents work.
•
Parents also receive services
from Roblealto in the form of
support groups, parent education
and other services.
PROAA
• 90 adolescents ages 11 –
18 are served.
• Attendance is voluntary and
only open to those who
graduated from Roblealto’s
children’s programs
• They meet weekly for
encouragement to stay in
school and resist the
temptations that surround
them
• A scholarship program
supports these adolescents
in their education
