GANESH FESTIVAL CELEBRATION
2012-2013
Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated
on the birthday of Lord Ganesh ,
the god of wisdom and
prosperity in the lunar month of
Bhadrapada. The celebration of
Ganesh Chaturthi continue for
five, seven, or ten days.
In Maharashtra, this festival was
firstly started by Great Maratha
Ruler Shivaji Maharaj and later
revived by the freedom fighter
Lokmanya Tilak to spread the
feeling of unity between people.
We had organized Ganesh Festival in
our school premises on the same day
i.e. 19th of September, 2012.
