Application was carried out in
accordance with Belzona Know-How
System Leaflet TCC-1. Pre-formed
doubler plates were bonded over the
corroded areas after manual surface
preparation

transformer could not be drained for

Application Details
The application was carried out
using a modified Belzona Know-How
System Leaflet GSS-4, temporarily
stopping the leak with Belzona1831
before encapsulating the flange with
a Belzona 2000 series elastomer.

Following removal of the failed
system by grit blasting, a Belzona
1000 series system was used to seal
the flange joint.
Leak detection proved success of
the repair and resulted in a further
515 flanges being sealed.
