Aim: To support Government clients in raising the design
quality of proposals, achieve best value and ensure that all
opportunities are realised for all Victorians in public projects.

• 25 design and development professionals – architects,
urban designers, landscape architects and planners
• 8 technical specialists – sustainability, feasibility, public
art, masterplanning, universal design, economic
development
• Government design specialists
• Directed and managed by the OVGA

• Maximum 6 panel members per review
• Meet one day a month, 2 sessions x 2/3 projects
• OVGA work with clients & design teams to prepare for
design review + site visit
• Project briefings for panel members prior to review
• Clients + design teams + other stakeholders present
• Chaired by Victorian Government Architect (VGA) and
Associate VGA
• Formal letter of advice following review from OVGA
