INNOVATION DIALOGUES BRAZIL – CHINA –
Goals:

Discuss and participate in scenario exercises and evaluations on
the evolution of technological innovation in areas of common
interest.

Develop a research agenda for cooperation on strategic
development issues in the areas of: governance, innovation in
information and communication technologies, energy, health and
agribusiness, managing inequalities and building sustainable cities.

Establish an effective policy-oriented research platform amongst
participating research institutions, linking ongoing national and
international networks of research and promoting collaboration
and exchanges amongst researchers.
INNOVATION DIALOGUES BRAZIL-CHINA
Key Issues


Policy experiences’ analysis ( successes and failures) : policy
instruments, modes of financing and coordination, business
strategies and corporate relations.
Government- business –university partnerships,

Innovation “tools”: public laboratories, joint ventures,
incubators and technology parks.

Building scenarios and foresight exercises.

Developing an agenda of research priorities and a platform
for joint programs and researcher’s collaboration.
INNOVATION DIALOGUES BRAZIL – CHINA
Activities:

Annual program for capacity building and stimulating innovation
dialogues between Brazil and China.

Targeted participants: Policymakers, Financial institutions,
Researchers and Corporations with activities/ operations in both
countries – or interested in getting a better understanding of the
issues.

Background: Follow up to a very successful pilot program of
executive training - IBRACH and School of Public Policy and
Management University of Tsinghua.
