A Book abandoned in the library, in which the digital era is now present.
A mirror on the wall still hovering in the rubble of a building destroyed by an
unexpected event.
Our products represent a parallel world.
Notes of the memory that survive in our daily lives.
They are part of our research on traditional and common objects, re invented and
restored, to get new vigour and modern spirit.
Our products are realized one by one by craftsmen in Tuscany, in total respect with
the environment.
Bio
SLOW uses the experience and the craftsmanship of Tuscan artisans to restore,
reinvent and provide new vigour to objects while respecting the environment in
which we live.
SLOW was created by Roberto di Filitto and Nathalie Schneider. He is a designer, she comes
from fashion. They have been working together in their graphic and design company in
Tuscany, Italy, until they began to collaborate with local craftsmen, to design new object
with classical techniques and antique skills, in total respect of the environment.
We use recycled glass, vintage porcelain, vintage leather, hand turned wood, and FSC paper.
We present our collection, as well as collaborating with hotels and shops, for exclusive tailor
made products.

( Mute Books )
Writing is the starting point of our story. Books are symbols of our expression and freedom
The name of Mute books is inspired by all those “forbidden books”, books that couldn’t be read during the
revolution period in many cultures. So we played with classical titles, to realize empty note books, that anyone can
freely fill out with its own feeling
From a collaboration between Slow and a traditional Florentine typography was born our collection of note books.
The Mute books collection re-interpretates classical titles, mixing traditional printing and binding technique
together with a fresh spirit, added by the handcoloured slice.
The artisanal technique allows our clients to personalize the edge colour to create their own special book.
