Dear Professor Romanelli,
it is with great pleasure that I would like to extend my warmest invitation to hold in Florence the
WUWHS Congress in 2016.
We have an international reputation as a great place to host conferences and we would be pleased
to have the opportunity to share that level of professionalism and expertise in the WUWHS Congress.
Florence’s centrally located congress facilities are nowadays experiencing a process of great
transformation, of renovation and improvements. Our three main structures (Fortezza da Basso,
Palazzo dei Congressi, Palazzo degli Affari) have been combined in a brand new “Congress Citadel”,
located right next to the main railways station. Only three kilometres away from the city airport, this
complex is very conveniently located in the city centre. It is in fact within walking distance from the
numerous hotels and alternative accommodations facilities in the city center.
We are sure that Florence could meet your and all participants’ expectations, and we look forward to
this upcoming event with great enthusiasm, extending our hopes that this proposal will become a
reality.
