THE EVENT
W h y M a r c h e s a C a s at i ?
She was an eccentric Italian heiress, muse,
patroness of arts and fashion and she lived from 1881 to 1957.
She was muse to Italian Futurists such as F. T. Marinetti,
Fortunato Depero, and Umberto Boccioni.
She captivated artists and literary figures such as
Robert de Montesquiou, Jean Cocteau, and Cecil Beaton.
She had a long term affair with the author Gabriele d’Annunzio.
THE EVENT
W h y M a r c h e s a C a s at i ?
In 1910 Casati took up residence at the Palazzo Venier dei Leoni,
on Grand Canal in Venice (now the home of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection).
Her soirées there would become legendary.
Often referenced, her style has inspired fashion designers for decades.
John Galliano and Karl Lagerfeld based their Collections on her.

The Art Director will orchestrate a “parcours” through the city of Venice,
highlighted by exclusive visits to historical places.
On site, guests will find specially trained theatre actors
that through performance will engage and interact with audience
bringing to life the spaces and the stories.

Palazzo Fortuny, as well as Churches and other monuments.

cocktail from 8.30 pm - dinner at 9.00 pm.
Daily Entertainment
entertainment during the entire afternoon
(Saturday and Sunday from 2 pm) with the possibility to visit the two exhibitions
at Guggenheim Museum and Palazzo Fortuny.
Two guides, prepared on the Marchesa Casati’s life and her venetian years,
will wait the guests at both locations and escort them during the visit.
Costumes and dress code
Twenties, Thirties
Guests will be able to rent the costumes for the evenings thanks
to the Bauer collaboration with some of the most famous historical ateliers.
Prices
450 € dinner only - 550 € dinner and daily entertainment
(free entry to the exhibitions at Palazzo Fortuny and Guggenheim Museum).
