Synergism
“One of the most important ways to
manifest integrity is to be loyal to
those who are not present. In doing
so, we build the trust of those who are
present. When you defend those who
are absent, you retain the trust of
those present.”
Stephen R. Covey

Emotional Bank Account
• We make deposits in a financial bank
account to build up a reserve and make
withdrawals when we need money.
• An emotional bank account is the
amount of trust that’s been built up in a
relationship.

Effects on Trust
• When you make deposits and your
account trust level is high, others trust
more and communication is easy,
instant, and effective.
• When you make withdrawals eventually
your trust level gets very low and
communication with others becomes
very hard.
