直接教學法的起源
□ 1960年代中期：Carl A.
Bereitor & Siegfried
Engelmann於伊利諾大學成立
幼稚園（Beriter-Engelmann
Preschool ），兩人設計一套
每天兩小時直接交文化不利
（culturally disadvantaged）的
小孩讀寫算語言之課程。
□ 1967年：Wesley C. Becker加
入，從此到1981年，此課程
模式就以Beriter-Engelmann之
名聞名。
直接教學法的起源
□ 1970年，Engelmann-Beireter模
式離開伊利諾大學，轉移到
University of Oregon。由於繼續
方案（Follow Through Project）
的需要，直接教學法的發展由
幼稚園到三年級課程。
□ 1981年，直接教學課程模式（
Direct Instruction Model, DI）正
式被命名。

直接教學法的理論基礎
何謂「直接」（direct）？

□ 理論基礎「不是」來自於兒童「發展」理論，「而是」而
是來自於「學習」。
學生在學習中是…
□ 1. 接收體而非參與者。
□ 2. 教師可透過事先周詳的設計，使學生與環境的互動增
加以便有利於學生的學習。
□ 3. 運用行為學派理論中的增強、塑造、處罰、削弱等方
法來促進刺激反應之間的連結，以便使學習行為產生。
直接教學課程模式之內涵
B-E模式
□ 目標
□ 內容：兩個來源
□ 1.從小學課程一年級分析，小學對入學一年級學生具備的
能力為何。
□ 2. 從比西智力測驗去分析學生應具備的知識是什麼。
□ 教學方法：五個特色
□ 1. 快速度的學習步調。
□ 2. 與工作無關的行為盡量減少，上課時強調工作導向。
□ 3. 強調口語反應。
□ 4. 課程是事先設計好的，每次以小單元的方式進行。
□ 5. 課程要求學生許多的工作。
D-I模式
□ 目標：培養低成就學生基本的學習技能，以具備與文化背
景較好的學生競爭社會中更高的教育。
□ 內容：
□ 1. 閱讀
□ 2. 算術
□ 3. 語言
□ 教學方法：小組教學（運用行為學派的增強原則）
□ 評量：標準化參照測驗。

Never translate：demonstrate (示範)
Never explain：act (動作)
Never make a speech：ask questions

基本策略（發音教學）
by Engelmann
 Say things the way I say them.
 Teach sounds in isolation first? No!
 Present sounds only as corrections.
 We teach words first, words in sentences.
 Mastery of concrete words give students something to
generalize them.
 Correcting sounds in words is more effective then trying to
teach sounds in isolation.
How much do you distort words? Enough for them to
hear all the sounds clearly.
Example: Did, did, did….Sent, sent, sent…-ed endings

發音遊戲

老師拿出某一子音卡（例如
gl），投標金額最高者可購
得該子音。
