复述是指学生在理解和记忆的基础上，把
课文内容加以整理，用自己的话，有重点，
有条理，有感情地叙述出来。它熔理解、
记忆、归纳、表达于一炉，对提高口头表
达能力有独特的作用。
A butterfly has a head, a body and six legs. It is an insect. In spring it flies
among the flowers in the park. This butterfly flies to a big and green leaf. It lays eggs
on the leaf. Then there are some white and small eggs on the leaf.
Six or seven days later, the eggs become caterpillars. The small caterpillars are
soft and fluffy. Each caterpillar has six legs. The caterpillar can crawl with its legs.
But most of the time the catepillars eat leaves. The caterpillars grow and grow.
The caterpillars become bigger and bigger.
Look! This caterpillar is big and fat. It is so afraid because the birds want to eat
it. What does it do? It makes a little house. It is a cocoon. The cocoon is brown and
ugly. The caterpillar lives in the cocoon. It is safe now. And it grows and grows.
Now it is October. It is cool and dry. The cocoon is open. A butterfly comes
from the cocoon. It is wet. It stays on the branch. Then the sun shines and shines on it.
It is dry. After that, it is a beautiful butterfly. It flies in the sun happily. And it wants
to find a leaf to lay eggs.
Two or three weeks later, the butterfly will die. But don’t be too sad. Soon you
will see more beautiful butterflies fly in the park.
This is the lifecyle of a butterfly.
