Commands
Allah (SWT) has commanded mankind to perform various acts
Prayer
Fasting
Zakat
Hajj
Commands
Allah (SWT) Himself does not do any of these acts/commands
He does not pray
He does not fast
He does not need to do of these – He is Allah
(SWT), the Creator of everything
Command
However, there is one act that He tells mankind to do that He Himself also does.
Can you imagine how important that act must be if Allah Himself does it.
Command
In fact, before Allah (SWT) commands mankind to this act, Allah (SWT) says he does it first and then tells mankind to do it.
Not only does Allah (SWT) do this act, but all the angels to it as well.
Command
So Allah (SWT) says He does this act, His angels do this act, then He commands the believers to do this act.
What is this act?
Surah Ahzab (33), Ayat 56
Verily Allah and His angels send salaam and blessings on the Prophet (SAW);
O People who Believe! You too should send blessings and abundant salutations
(salaam) upon him.
To show respect for Him
To show that we are thankful for all that
He did for Islam
It is because of Him that you and I are
Muslim 1400 years later
On the Day of Judgment He will look for all the people in His Ummah and help them get into Heaven
He will act as an intercessor for us
He will not enter Heaven until all of His
Ummah as entered Heaven
He will allow us to drink from His blessed hands the water from River Kawther
Sending Salaam
We do it 5 times a day in our prayer already be reciting Darood-e-Ibrahim
Darood-e-Ibrahim

The Prophet (SAW) was climbing the member and took one step and then said
“Ameen”. He took a second step and said
“Ameen”. He took a third step and said
“Ameen”. The companions asked him why he said Ameen three times.
Hadith
The Prophet (SAW) said: “Angel Jibraeel came to me and made a dua to curse 3 types of people and I said Ameen after each one.”
Anyone cursed in this way will mean certain destruction on the Day of
Judgment

Look at who is making this dua – Angel
Jibraeel
Look at who is saying Ameen after the dua
