We made puppets and learnt our roles: Finally we started rehearsals. We decided to perform the legend about Golden Duck. And this is the story about the Golden Duck… Once upon a time, there was a Count von Gashin who lived in the castle in Toszek. On his wedding day, he gave his future wife, Countess Gizela, a very special gift. The Golden Duck was the most valuable heirloom of the Gashins family - it was a sitting golden duck in its silver nest surrounded by 11 golden eggs. One day, when the count was out from the castle, the great fire flared up. Countess Gizela took the duck and ran away to the dungeons. After the fire Gizela was found unconscious and soon she died. So far, no one knows where the Golden Duck is. In the end we showed our performance to pupils who liked it very much.
