This means the person’s life has been messed
up for a long time. It could also be his
dreams have been shattered.

This helps create the theme “ It’s better to have memories that
you have experienced with others. The singer is obviously alone
and has no one to do anything with.

Both of these stanza’s from the lyrics give you the feeling of
loneliness and sadness. The use of imagery and diction of
the words “walking down the lonely road and empty street”
makes you feel bad for the singer and makes the song a good
song. This feeling is one reason why I like this song.
