Login into the system using your NICE CERN account
After login you will get:
• Dropdown menu for users
with the proper rights
(Admin, Secretaries)
• User Menu Block

Suppose you want to create a new page
to put some Figures about some ALICE
detectors.
That page should appear in the Content
Menu under:
Physics
Detector Performance

If this page will appear in the menu.
Click on “Menu settings” to see the options
Set the navigation Title
Select the parent Item in the
content menu
Edit the Content Body of your page

Keep the pointer over a toolbar icon to see the
help text

Copy-Paste: Bad practices
• While copy-pasting of contents, try not to drag
into the page the format from your document
source. As a consequence:
– Awful display of pages (public is seeing this).
– Hard to maintain pages (most of the time you will have
to redo the job or clean all unwanted HTML tags into
the sorce code).
– No HTML(Text) editor is free of this. Just think when
you try to copy from a PDF file to WORD. WORD is a
clever software and fails why do you expect a HTML
editor to behave better?

Set the URL of the page:
Drupal no not create folder structure in the
URL
Here you can mimic URL address inserting
here the full path (by yourself)
If you don’t set the URL, then the URL will
set automatically to something like
/node/14326
SAVE action to finish your work

PREVIEW action doesn’t save changes of the
content. Use as many times until you are
satisfied with your work.

Editing a Page
Switch between
EDIT and VIEW mode
See previous REVISIONS and revert
the old content
Add a Log message in
Revision information section
before save the changes
1. Every time you SAVE a new revision is
created.
2. Use PREVIEW to see your changes
before save the content.
3. DELETE action is definitive. All the
revision information is lost, do not ask
for help at this point.

• Create a Page
• In the body of the page write:
[bg | path/to/your/gallery/folder]
Example:
[bg|Social-Events/2008/Mechoui2008|5|150|sort|all|#f5f7e7]
The root dir for all galleries files is
set to the galleries folder
In the example the path is:
Social-Events/2008/Mechoui2008
The last part is no needed. You can use it
if you need to overwrite the default settings
|5|150|sort|all|#f5f7e7
