Working together
The functional areas in a business may work on the same or
different projects, but ultimately they share the same goal:
to achieve the aims of the business.
In order for a business to succeed, the functional areas
in that organization must co-operate and communicate
– both with each other and with their customers.
For example:
Human Resources is
responsible for recruiting staff
across the whole of an organization.
Finance is responsible for paying staff in all departments.
How do you think the interaction of functional areas
might differ between large and small organizations?
