There are 2 types of Checking Accounts: Checking – No minimum balance or service charge. This is recommended for all employees at first. Interest Checking – Compounded interest on balances with a monthly service charge. Minimum balance for this account type. Budget BUSINESS CHECKING Business Checking is Budget Checking as there is no minimum balance that must be maintained. Interest Checking for businesses that have a $250 minimum account balance every 30 days. All company accounts were set up as a Budget Checking account to begin with. PERSONAL CHECKING Personal Checking may be a Budget or noninterest earning account or Interest-earning account used by students, teachers, and visitors. Employees will receive a signing bonus of $6,000 when company account is opened. There is a monthly service charge of $10 if the account is an Interest checking account. SAVINGS Savings accounts in the US Network Bank earn interest, but do not allow customers to make payments outside of their own account. There is a $5/month fee associated with US Network Bank savings account. Both Business and Personal Savings accounts in the Network Bank are functionally the same. If you would like to make a payment with money in your savings account, transfer the money from your savings account to your checking account, and then make the payment from your checking account. SAVINGS INTEREST Interest – Interest on your account is compounded daily using a 365-day year, and is calculated on your interest earning balance. Click in the Amount box and enter the payment amount as a decimal value (do not enter a $ or commas). Click the Currency dropdown and select the currency type if other than USD. Click in the Description box and enter a brief description of the transaction. Click the Date calendar dropdown to the right of the date box to select the date for transaction to occur if different from date shown. PAY AN INTERNATIONAL FIRM The process to pay an international firm is the same as paying a domestic firm as shown in the previous section. However, note the following: If you are billed in USD, pay in USD. The receiving firm will receive payment in their local funds, and the conversion calculation will be based on the current FOREX rate. If you are billed in a foreign currency (e.g. Euro/CAD/GBP), select that Currency from the dropdown. Your account will be debited in USD based on the current FOREX rate. Currency dropdown menu PROCESS A CREDIT CARD PAYMENT To receive payment by credit card from a US Network Bank cardholder at trade fairs or for sales: Select Process Credit Card Payment in the menu pane. Click in the Credit Card No text box and enter the card number. In the Exp. date area, select the credit card expiration date. In the Amount text box, enter the amount of the sale using decimal entry (no $ or commas). Select the To Account drop down, and select the account to which the payment will be made. Note: Credit cards should be verified as current. This amount will be deposited into the To Account entered in step 4, and will be billed to the payee.
