[Al-Fajr:1-2]
Prophet (saws) said about the first 10 nights of Dhul Hijjah:
“There is no other day but Arafah in which Allah releases
people from Hell fire in abundance. That day Allah is closest to
his slaves and He feels pride in them (pilgrims)
In front of angels and asks the angels. “(Tell me) what do these
people want from me?”

Allah’s Messenger (S.A.W.S) said, “On the day of sacrifice no
one does a deed More pleasing to Allah than the shedding
of blood. The sacrifice will come on the day of judgement
with it’s horns, it’s hair and it’s hooves, and the blood
Finds acceptance with Allah before it falls on the ground.
So be glad about it”.

What is the wisdom of
Sacrificing?
Wisdom of Sacrificing
Offering sacrifice has been commanded to all the
Prophet’s; from Adam (a.s) to the last messenger,
Muhammad (saws).
It is also the Sunnah of Allah’s best friend “Ibrahim”
(A.S).
Once when he (S.A.W.S) was asked by his companions, “O
Messenger of Allah(S.A.W.S) what is sacrifice ? He replied,
“This is the Sunnah of Ibrahim (A.S)”.
[Musnad Ahmad, Ibn Majah]
• Allah (swt) ordered Prophet Ibrahim
(a.s) to go to Makkah along with his
elder son, Ismail (a.s).
One Night the Prophet
Ibrahim (a.s)
dreamt that he was sacrificing
his
Son, Ismail.
When Ibrahim (a.s) told
his son about
the dream, he agreed
to be sacrificed.
They went to Mina and, on the way, Iblis (Satan)
tried to stop them, but they threw stones at him.
When the Ibrahim (a.s) was about to sacrifice his
son, Angel Jibril stoppped him by replacing Ismail
with a ram, which was then sacrificed.
Allah was pleased with Ibrahim (a.s) and
accepted his obedience, true loyalty,
complete submission and the sacrifice of his
emotion and his own blood.
• Allah (swt) honoured Ibrahim (a.s) with
such titles as:
Allah (swt) then ordered the belivers to observe
this day as Eid-al-Adha (the feast of
Sacrifice).
