Additional Questions to Consider • How will this study abroad experience affect my major/minor plans? • How does this study abroad experience enhance what I am studying? • How can this experience help me with my long-term goals? • What is the cost of the program? What additional costs are not included in the official program cost? “The whole object of travel is not to set foot on foreign land; it is at last to set foot on one’s own country as a foreign land.” – G. K. Chesterton Program Fees & Additional Costs • Although study abroad programs vary, here are some additional costs you may need to consider: – – – – Airfare Visa fees Transportation to/from school Loss of federal work-study award when abroad – Cost of required vaccines/immunizations – Entertainment – Additional travel within/outside of country Benjamin A.
