Data Warehouse
 The Data Warehouse (DW) will replace the campus
custom reports such as nVision and the 020 Report as
well as others for Central reporting, PO and
requisitions.
 The DW offers a variety of basic and advanced
reporting formats users.
 Report options give user the ability to create the report
the way they want to see it.
 Basic DW Training will be offered beginning late
November. Advanced training will begin in 2011.

 Users will have access to the old database to run
reports through December 2010.
 Beginning Jan. 2011, new transactions will only be in
CFS and the DW.
 Summary ledger balances for 2009 and July –Dec 2010
will be copied into CFS and the DW
 CFS and DW will be accessed through a CSU Portal

How to get ready now
 QUERIES
 Queries have to conform to CFS guidelines
 Some query names have changed
 Some queries will not be in CFS
 Refer to the CFS query list for name changes
 TIP: Change your Favorite Query list to the new names,
delete the old names from your list
How to get ready now, cont.
 The MyCoyote Finance “shortcut” page will not be
available in the CSU Portal.
 Some Finance users already use the 9.0 Menu structure.
 Begin using the FIN 9.0 link on MyCoyote Finance Tab
now to become familiar with the structure.
 The 9.0 Main Menu is similar to what we will see in CFS
 Use the Navigation Guide and begin using the 9.0
format now.


You can still set up My Favorites for your reports and
processes.
Navigate to the page and click the Add to My Favorites in the
upper Right corner of the page

 You may add these as Favorites on the 9.0 Menu and
use them until Dec. 31, 2010.
