PLAN Results
FALL 2014
PLAN Overview
-I gave you back your score report, Using Your ACT PLAN Results booklet and your test booklet.
The PLAN test is out of 32 and is a practice ACT test. The ACT test is out of 36. You will see a
score for the PLAN and an estimated score for the ACT at the very top of your score report.
-I encourage you to use this information to improve your score on the actual ACT when you take
it during your Junior year. You will improve your score and be more prepared if you use this,
however if you take this home and don’t look at it again then nothing will come of it.
-Please go over this with your parents, I will be contacting all parents to let them know results
went home. I would also encourage you to stop by and talk with me about your results
especially if you have more specific questions. *This Power Point will be available on the High
School Guidance webpage and Family Connections on Naviance*
-Overall this test is very important. The result of your ACT and/or SAT along with your high
school grades = getting into the college of your choice and possible scholarship money.

-This is the answer key. You are given your answers and the correct answers for each test.
-I encourage you to go over each question marked incorrect and work with the teacher you have
in that subject area to clarify what your errors are. You can also see that English and Math are
divided into sub scores. This will allow you to focus on specific areas of weakness to improve
your ACT score.
- On the right hand side, in the pink boxes you will see suggestions for improving your skills so
that you may improve your ACT score.
- Please go to www.actstudent.org where you can take practice ACT exams. During your Junior
year you will be given information about opportunities to prepare for the ACT. The more
resources you use the more prepared you will be for this college entrance exam. You also have
access to ACT Prep Me though your Naviance account. Students can begin to use this online test
prep program now.
