Grammar
過去進行式：過去的某個時間點正在進行或持續的動作。
句型:
肯定句：主詞+was╱were Ving +…+過去時間點.
否定句：主詞+was╱were not Ving +…+過去時間點.
疑問句： Was╱Were+主詞+Ving +…+過去時間點？
詢問句：疑問詞+was╱were +主詞 Ving +…+過去時間點？
例：I was doing my homework at nine o’clock last night.
They were watching TV at that time.
The students were sleeping when the teacher walked

I was taking a bath when the phone rang.
I was not playing computer games then.
例：Was it raining at seven-thirty this morning?
What were you doing at nine last night?
比較：過去簡單式與過去進行式
過去簡單式：過去狀態、動作、習慣或事實。過去
時間開始並且結束的動作。
句型:主詞+動詞過去簡單式+…+過去時間.
例：He was a student last year, but now he isn’t.
I took a bus to school every day last week.
I bought him a cake yesterday.
My niece lived in Taiwan last year, but now she
lives in the USA.
過去進行式：過去的某個時間點正在進行或發生或持
續的動作。
句型:主詞+was╱were Ving +…+過去時間點.
例：It was raining at 7:30 this morning.
I was washing the dishes when the doorbell rang.
時間的表達方式
(一) 整點時刻 (1)電子時鐘方式
例：8:00
(2) 數字以英文表達 例：eight (o’clock)
(二)非整點時刻
(1)電子時鐘方式
例：7:25
(2) 數字以英文表達
(A) 順序(先時後分) 例： seven twenty-five
(B) 逆序(先分後時)
例：twenty-five past /after seven
逆序(先分後時)的表達
(1)過整點三十分鐘以內，用分 past/after 時
例：8:10
8:15
ten past/after eight
fifteen past/after eight
(a) quarter past/after eight
(2)剛好是在三十分鐘，用 half past 時
例：8:30
half past eight
(3)過整點三十分鐘以後，用(60−分) to (時＋1)
例：8:50
8:45
ten to nine
fifteen to nine
(a) quarter to nine
片語動詞
(一)不可以分開的片語動詞
不及物動詞＋介係詞＋受詞
注意!!
受詞只能放在介係詞之後，因為有受詞存在，才需
要介係詞。
例：Please wait for me.
Look at the clock. What time is it?
常見的不可分片語動詞
wait for(等待) 、look at(注視)、 listen to(聽著)
look for (尋找)、talk about(談論)、worry about(擔心)
run after (追趕)、get on (上車)、get off(下車)
(二)可以分開的片語動詞
 及物動詞＋(介)副詞＋受詞
例：Please turn off the lights.

例：Please turn them off.

pick up(撿起;接載)、put down(放下)、put on(穿上)

turn off(關掉)、try on(試穿)、give up(放棄)
