The 39 Clues: Maze of Bones By: Rick Riordan Project By: Claudia Reynolds Book Overview Two kids named Amy and Dan Cahill lived a hard lived a hard life since their parents died but, when their grandmother passes away she gives her relatives a choice: 1 million dollars or the start to the hunt for the 39 clues. Amy and Dan chose the hunt and travel around the world for clues. Amy and Dan face many challenges in this book including the maze of bones, but it is just the start of all the twist in turns in the hunt for the clues and there are many obstacles on the road ahead. Why is the Mood Important? Through out this Book the mood changes many times and is very important to the book. The mood can be what the character is feeling but mainly what the author will make it. The mood in The Maze of Bones is important because it is the first book in the series and the author wants you to get a feel for the overview and characters feeling and attitudes In the book. Amy and Dan experience many moods in this story and that can be a good thing…….. but sometimes not so much. Main Moods Some of the main moods in the story are: • Mysterious- Many Mysteries and “Fuzzy” clues in the Book • Loving- Amy and Dan come closer then ever when they begin the quest for the 39 clues • Worried- Amy and Dan face many challenges in the first book and don’t know if they will survive.
