 Revised many points to fit what he
wanted
Features:
 Every person was equal before the law
 No secret laws could exist
 All laws had to be published
 Religious crimes- illegal
 Divorce treated as a civil manner
 Granted men many rights


Husband commits adultery and brings the woman into his
home
 wife may seek a divorce
 the man would be granted the custody of his children unless
otherwise ordered by the court
 an example of superior male rights

Husband does not like a material item that his wife possesses
 legal authority to obtain item and do what he wants with it.
(e.g. throw it away)

 Made them suit the people of
