You will need to begin your research over the summer You will be allocated a supervisor You will have taught sessions of basic skills in the autumn and summer term Throughout the autumn term you will need to research you topic, meet regularly with your supervisor and begin writing You will need to complete you project by half term in the spring term You will need to make a presentation What does the EPQ include? You must Either: create an artefact e.g. A book, object, computer programme etc which must be accompanied by a written report of 1500 – 2000 words in which you explain the planning. decision making process and development of your plan to the creation of the artefact Or Write a 5000 word dissertation analysing a topic of your choice. How will I be assessed? Your supervisor will award you with marks at the end of the EPQ based on your abilities to: Manage (AO1) 10 marks Use resources (AO 2) 10 marks Develop and realise (AO3) 20 marks Review (AO4) 10 marks What do I do next? Add you name to the list at the front Before September e-mail a proposed topic to kladly@thecampionschool.org and complete some research that you can present to demonstrate that the topic is viable (people will not be signed up without this) Taught sessions will commence in September If you sign up you must complete the course or you will be charged for the entry fees for the qualification (£45) You may see me before the end of term to discuss possible topics Alternatively you may e-mail me ether before or during the summer.
