We are easily embarrassed due to not being able to handle such behaviors. One way to understand them is to learn Solid State Physics. In this course "solid state physics" means mainly the physics of crystalline solids. The many properties of crystalline materials have to do with the periodicity of their constituent atoms. namely, Solid state materials (if limited on crystalline ones) ⇒ aggregate of 〔regularly arrayed ion〕 + 〔electrons with some freedom〕 The basics or core understanding of Solid State Physics is coming from Quantum Mechanics applied to regular array of atoms or ions. The list of topics to be covered is shown in the next page.
