Providing support fund for several pilot projects. The project can be in form of lectures, colloquium, etc. • How does this project help you meet your committee’s objectives? : Polit funds partially help establish the implementation of professional projects in R10 sections, especially for projects with young researcher and engineer attendees. Compile data on member interests and preferences related to Professional Activities, their management and financing. • Project measureable deliverables : Number of projects supported. Submission of Project completion reports including feedback from IEEE members. • Budget breakdown –Expense: US$2,000 (to support 4-5 projects) –Income •From Region 10 : US$2000, US$500/project at most •From other sources : 50% of each project will be financially supported by R10 • Project Milestones leading to completion : April– November 2014 Appendices: Project 3 Joint Project & Promote Professional Awareness during R10 Events • Project description :Cooperate with other Committees to support activities for members. Attend events of R10 to promote professional awareness. • How does this project help you meet your committee’s objectives? : Polit funds partially help establish the implementation of professional projects in R10 sections, especially for projects with young researcher and engineer attendees. Compile data on member interests and preferences related to Professional Activities, their management and financing. Professional Awareness promotion during the large R10 events can draw more attention from R10 members. • Project measureable deliverables : Number of projects supported. Submission of Project completion reports including feedback from IEEE members. • Budget breakdown –Expense: Support 2-3 joint projects (US$500), travel to attend one IEEE R10 event for PA promotion (US$1,000). US$2,000 in total. –Income •From Region 10 : US$1,500 • • From other sources : 50% of each project will be financially supported by R10 Project Milestones leading to completion: April– November 2014 Appendices: Project 4 Promotion online • Project description : After one year investigation, I find that a lot of IEEE members do not know the Professional Activities, including some new Session Chairs. So the promotion of PA is an important aspects for now. • How does this project help you meet your committee’s objectives? : The website will introduce more information about IEEE R10 Professional Activities, coming events, how to get involved, etc. • Project measureable deliverables : more plentiful webpage.
