He was one of the first people to rebel against the National Party’s decision about the apartheid policies in 1948. He then developed a campaign for anti apartheid, soon he got elected for president of the ANC in 1991. What did Mandela do to become a Revolutionary? Nelson Mandela was looked at as a revolutionary because he rebelled against the African congress about their decisions about apartheid policies. He was a revolutionary leader because he had the potential to motivate and enable people to fight for their rights considering strongly the Democratic process.
