The receiver detects each signal and “records” the shape characteristics of the signal as it is received. In turn, the charger sends signals that mimic (play back) the incoming signal characteristics with opposite phase, creating a power signal that is focused only on the receiver. © Copyright Ossia - Confidential Material Cota is inherently safe, since it is designed to be efficient in its power delivery. Additionally, the technology improves efficiency by avoiding absorption of its signal by objects in the environment. Cota-enabled devices send out weak brief signals to “light up” the open paths between it and the charger. Cota chargers send out signals that travel only through the open paths discovered between the charger and the device needing power.
