Wi-Fi, is a mechanism that allows electronic devices to
exchange data wirelessly over a computer network. A device
enabled with Wi-Fi, such as a personal computer, video game
console, smartphone, tablet, or digital audio player, can
connect to a network resource such as the Internet via a
wireless network access point.

WAP stands for Wireless Application Protocol
It enables you to go online while out and about.
Ordinary web pages contain too much information
to display properly on the small screens of mobile
phones. To get around this, the mobile phone
industry invented WAP. It takes existing pages and
rewrites them in a special, simplified language.
