Today, your child had an opportunity to learn about Sun safety and UV
light!
Students learned why it is important to wear sunscreen, hats, and sun
glasses when outside in the Sun. They also learned why it is important
to drink water to be Sun safe. After they listened to the book Block the
Sun, Not the Fun, students were invited to complete a fun science
activity.
They got to make a caterpillar using special beads that change colour in
UV light to help remind them to be Sun safe!
