NOT INCLUDED are arithmetic, business, consumer, or general mathematics or other similar courses. 4 units of Science, including 3 units of approved laboratory science (courses in biology, chemistry, or physics in which at least one regular laboratory period is scheduled each week). In order to be eligible, a student must pass all of his/her academic courses or have a 1.6 grade point average in those subjects. Should a student become ineligible, he/she won't be allowed to participate during the following quarter/semester. All SDHSAA requirements and policies must also be met. Freshman 0 credits minimum Junior 12 credits minimum Sophomore 6 credits minimum Senior 18 credits minimum Each student must sign up for a minimum of six classes per semester. It is the student’s responsibility to complete course work as assigned by the teacher. In order to receive credit in any course, the student must meet the requirements of the course as established by the teacher. Credits are issued on a semester basis. Students who fail a required course will be required to repeat the course at the earliest feasible time. We are a Laptop High School At the high school level students will be using technology on a regular basis and it is expected that students will use the technology respectfully and responsibly. If your student is issued a laptop the responsibility for insuring it will be up to you but we will provide you with options in the fall. Without insurance you will be expected to pay for any damages.
