Improvement Facilitator
Facilitate - Definition

process, etc.): Careful planning
facilitates any kind of work.
Who is an Improvement Facilitator (IF)?
• A naturally positive, optimistic and intuitive person
• A skilled communicator; able to connect with all members of
clinic teams
• Results-oriented ;able to stay focused on “process” development
• Flexible while assisting each team to customize the process that
will work for them in the long-term
• Enthusiastic and able to foster the desire for change within teams
• Able to ensure that teams stay focused during meetings.

Facilitators:
• Stay neutral on the content
• Listen actively
• Ask questions
• Paraphrase continuously
• Summarize discussions
• Manage the climate
