The Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) is an important component of the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). Under the LCFF all LEAs are required to prepare an LCAP, which describes how they intend to meet annual goals for all pupils, with specific activities to address state and local priorities identified. Summary In summary, under the requirements for LCAP, school districts are required to: Adopt LCAPs that include annual goals for all pupils, incorporate state priorities, and are updated each year. Present LCAP to the parent advisory committee and English Learner parent advisory for review, and provide the public an opportunity to comment on the plan. Use the template adopted by SBE to develop the school district’s LCAP and post it on the school district’s Internet Web site. File the LCAP with the County Superintendent of Schools for review and approval.
