Criteria For Evaluation Of Proposals
for setting up Community Colleges

The intake capacity to be planned for 300 with minimum 3
sectors and with adequate shifts staggered over the week, in
flexible mode and multi-entry/multi-exit at each of the 7
levels

The equipment grant-in-aid @ Rs 60 lakh per sector, up to a
maximum of Rs 2 Crores for all 3 sectors. Standard
equipment list avaiable

Community Colleges offering a sector less equipment
intensive, may be considered for more Sectors, subject to a
ceiling of Rs 3 Crores

A grant in aid ceiling of Rs 3 Crores per Community College
to develop human resource in the Country for gainful
employment/self-employment.
Ratio of F/S for general education : 1:100
