House Bill 5 Graduation Requirements • Begins with students who enter grade 9 in 2014-2015. • Students entering high school prior to 2014-2015 have the option to change graduation plans. • Students must: • Meet graduation requirements • Meet testing requirements—English I, English II, Algebra I, Biology, U.S. History • FLEXIBILITY AND STUDENT CHOICE IS KEY! HB5 Requirements • Two Graduation Plans, plus DAP and Performance Acknowledgements • ALL STUDENTS BEGIN ON FOUNDATION WITH ENDORSEMENT. • Distinguished Achievement is earned by • • • • Endorsement 4 science credits 4 mathematics credits Algebra II HB5 Requirements • Students must complete the sophomore year in order to revert to the Foundation Plan. • Students beginning high school prior to 2014-2015 may change from their current graduation plan to the FHSP.
