Widening to 3 lines of Highway carriageways
Contract n.3: Bridge over river Po - Autostrada A21
Autostrada A7 is the Italian Highway that connects Milano, the most populous city of North of Italy,
and Genova, with its important maritime port on Mediterranean Sea.
This Highway had in 2009 an average daily traffic of about 50.000 vehicles, including 9.000 heavy
trucks.
The current Project regards the widening of the carriageways from 2 to 3 lines, in the section
between River Po and the intersection with the Highway A21. In particular, 3 bridges needed to be
enlarge: Viadotto Scrivia, Ponte Curone and Ponte Grue, for which new bearings and joints were
required.
