Neymar
Neymar is a Brazilian footballer player who plays
for the Spanish team, Barcelona and for the
Brazilian National Team. He is famous for his speed,
dribbling and for being able to play so well with
both feet.
Neymar was born in Sao Paulo in Brazil. His father
was a footballer and when he saw that his son
had talent, he decided to become his manager.
After a year of playing football, Neymar earned
enough money for his family to buy their very first
house.
When Neymar was just 14, he joined the Real
Madrid team and played along side David
Beckham, Ronaldo, and Zinedine Zidane. He
played his first professional game at 17.
Personal Life
Neymar became a father to
a little baby boy named
David Lucca at the age of 19.
Neymar said: “I cried when I
learned that I would be a
father. At first, I felt fear. Then
joy.” When his baby boy was
born he described him as “2.8
kilograms of pure happiness”.
Neymar is a Christian and
gives about 10% of his income
to his local church.
Money
In 2012, Neymar was listed as 13th in the list of the
world’s richest players. With his yearly salary, bonuses
and his other earnings, he makes approximately $18.8
million a year. That’s about 11 million pounds a year!
