FAQs
Q. Does the ResMed tubing wrap provide any
benefits in humidification and comfort?
A.
Yes, the tubing wrap helps retain the heat as the air travels down the tube,
providing warmer air to the mask. This warmth provides greater comfort and
increases the amount of humidity able to be provided.

An increase as little as 2°C in air temperature
results in a 13% increase in the amount of humidity
able to be delivered to the mask. This can make all
the difference between rainout and comfortable
therapy.
FAQs
Q. Can the H4i water chambers be used with the
HumidAire 3i docking station?
A. Yes, by replacing the H3i top cover and seal with the H4i variants,
you can use either H4i water chamber on a H3i docking station.
(sealed)
Note: You cannot use the H3i water chamber on the H4i docking station.

FAQs
Q. Why do the H4i water chambers hold less water than the
H3i water chamber?
A. The H3i has 60mL of unusable water. While the stated capacity is
415mL, only 355ml can be used. When the water level falls below the
level of the tub plate, the remaining water is not usable.
The H4i is designed with a large plate as the base, therefore all 390mL
of water can be used.

FAQs
Q.
Why is the H4i still being shipped with the carry pouch?
How does the pouch fit into the new black flow generator bag?
A. The new black bag is designed to be used without the
carry pouch (see picture). The carry pouch does not fit
into the new black bag.
The H4i is initially being shipped with the carry pouch, as
unfortunately there are still products being sold with the
original blue bag. This bag requires the carry pouch to
ensure adequate protection for the humidifier.
The carry pouch is expected to be removed from the H4i
packaging towards the end of the year.
