welcomes you to Bulgaria, country of adventure…
Bulgaria is a country with rich history and culture. The lands have been inhabited
since ancient times and today there are many historical and architectural places
that are worth visiting.
Because of its location at the crossroads between
Asia and Europe, many different cultures have
influenced the country.
A unique example showing the
development of the Thracian culture in the
5th and 4th century B.C are the
archaeological excavations in the Valley of
the Thracian Kings. It is a region of
Thracian burial mounds, located in the
valley of Kazanluk, a large town in central
Bulgaria.

Capital city
Sofia is the capital of Bulgaria and its biggest city in
terms of size and population.
Living in Sofia is easy and convenient thanks to the
excellent transport and infrastructure. There are a
subway, buses, trams and taxis.
There are several universities in the city and a lot
of opportunities for the young people.
Internet – Stay connected everywhere you go in Bulgaria
Bulgaria has the third fastest average Internet speed in the world after South Korea and Romania.
Sofia serves you with thousands of wireless Internet hotspots. Many of the WiFi hotspots are free.
Language
The official language is Bulgarian. However you can
easily communicate in English.
Is Bulgaria a safe place to live?
Bulgaria has no history with political instability, and no natural disasters that you should worry
about. Individual crime is present and the corruption level is high, so take care of your
belongings the way you would in any foreign place. Pickpocketing, petty crime and car theft are
issues, but not to the extent that should deter you from coming here.
