examples are tools,
pottery, and clothing.

• Paleo means very old.
What made prehistoric animals
come to Kentucky?
• They came to escape
the polar ice caps and
to find food.
Why did prehistoric people
come to Kentucky?
They followed the animals for
food.
Explain how the Paleo Indians
lived.
• They lived in small
groups and hunted
with spears.
What did Paleo Indians use for
clothes?
Hint, hint…They had animal
magnetism. Some of them probably
looked “foxy”!
They used animal skins.

They became extinct.
