Born in Waterbury, Connecticut in 1949.
 Studied painting at the San Francisco Art
Institute.
 Father was in the Air Force and the
family moved frequently.
 Took her first pictures during the Vietnam
War while the family was stationed in the
Philippines.


 Her photographs helped define the look
of the magazine.
 Shot John Lennon and his wife, Yoko

 She was the last to photograph him,
because he was shot and killed five
hours later.
