INFRARED USES IN DAILY LIFE
 Infrared is used for heating the planet (via the sun)
 Remote controls, Radios, LEDS, Phones etc.
 Weather prediction (analyzing cloud formations, temperature
etc.)
 Infrared is used in night vision technology in order to see in
the dark
 Thermography (determination of the temperature of object)
RADIO WAVES
 Used for fixed and mobile radio communication, broadcasting,
radar and other navigation systems,
 Radio waves have frequencies from 300 GHz to as low as
3 kHz
 The distance a radio wave travels in one second, in a vacuum,
is 299,792,458 meters
 Radio waves are emitted by stars and gases in space

 Bluetooth, 3G, LTE, radio stations, wifi and other
communication devices/programs
 Radars
 Space exploration
 Send signals into outer space in hopes of communicating with
extraterrestrials
