 Josh felt best when he was able to play music at the
school with Howie - who owned the banjo - and his
teacher Miss Crowne.
 Without music and their ability to play and sing, Josh
and Joey wouldn’t have survived as well as they did on
their journey.
 The boys obtained jobs (and money) strictly because of
their musical aptitude.
 Music was a way to bring people together, create peace,
harmony, and serenity – a release from reality.
