Internal memory
There are two types. They are
called RAM and ROM. The
difference is that you can write to
RAM and only read from ROM.
RAM is temporary and fast and
ROM is stored on a chip or CD.

Input devices
Are used to get (write) data to the
computer ready for processing by
the CPU.
Input devices can be used
manually or automatic.

Output devices
If data has been transferred into
the computer, it’s now
information. To get it out from the
computer again you need output
devices.

Backing storage
Secondary storage use removable
media. It is used for programs and
data that’s not needed for the
computer initially and instantly by
the computer.
Long term storage and back up
copies.
