Congrats to the varsity boys and girls soccer teams. Girls ended their
season in 4th place overall in the region. Boys ended the regular
season in 3rd place. Both are going to the playoffs. Girls play Heritage
High School April 30th. Boys play Gainesville HS April 29th in the first
round of the playoffs.
Also congratulations to the athletes selected as DeKalb County
Soccer All Star Team.

To All Former Livsey Elementary Students!
Students, parents, colleagues, and family are invited to
honor Livsey Media Specialist, Ruth Berberich, on her
retirement from the DeKalb County School District. Come
and join the celebration on Wednesday, May 14th, 2:45 to
4:45, at Livsey Elementary School, 4137 Livsey Road.
Guests are invited to share fond memories and
congratulate Mrs. Berberich on this professional
milestone. All former students and their parents are
welcome guests.
IEC Atlanta is now accepting applications for Apprenticeship.
Positions are available for varying levels of experience. How
to Apply?
Walk in Monday through Thursday at 10am, 2pm or 4pm to
complete the application.
There is a $10 application fee.
Be prepared to pass a general math assessment.

Ms. Staples is offering an opportunity to have your Senior
Conference during the month of June in order to begin planning
for the year ahead.
Senior Conference Advisement will give you detailed information
on: *Post-Secondary Options; Life after high school; *SAT/ACT
Information; *Scholarship Information; *College Admission
Procedures; and MUCH MORE!!!!
Conferences will be held by appointment only beginning June 9.
Call Mrs. Freeman at 678-874-3726 to schedule appointment.
Appointments will be made on a first come first serve basis.
You must call for an appointment by May 15.

Eligible high school juniors may go to
www.nordstrom.com/scholarship to submit their application, which is due
May 1, 2014 at 3PM PST!

ELIGIBILITY
The Nordstrom Scholarship is open to high school juniors who:
Live and attend school in a state with a Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack
store. Not sure if there's a store in your state? See our store locations .
Have at least a 2.7 GPA.
Volunteer or participate in community service or extracurricular activities.
Plan on attending an accredited college or university during all four years
over which the scholarship is distributed. (The scholarship is paid out in
equal installments of $2,500.)
Plan on applying for financial assistance in order to attend college.

• We are collecting gently used shoes to help
prevent the spread of parasitic diseases that
plague over 300 million people worldwide.
• Please see Miss Stan in room D216 with
donations. We will get bins as soon as
possible down each hall.
Seniors: request a textbook
receipt when you turn in all
textbooks to your teachers to
prevent any confusion if the
books were checked in correctly.
Textbook collection will be held every
Friday from 7:30am until 2:30pm.
Please have students see Mr. Stanley
in the front office to pay for any lost of
damaged text books and also to check
the status for any lost books to see if
they have been returned.
