and wills.

in all things.
• *There is a lot we do not know and has not
been revealed. (Deuteronomy 29:29). Our
duty to God is to learn what HAS been
Faith Healing In
Bible Times
• Miracles were used ---for a reason
• 1 Kings 17:24 “Then the woman said to Elijah,
‘Now I know that you are a man of God, and that
the word of the LORD in your mouth is truth”
• Jesus used a miracle to prove He had the power
: Matthew 9:6 “But in order that you may know
that the son of Man has authority on earth to
forgive sins…Rise, take up your bed, and go
Hebrews 2:1-2
• “For this reason we must pay much closer
attention to what we have heard, lest we
drift away from it. For if the word spoken
through angels proved unalterable, and
every transgression and disobedience
received a just recompense, how shall we
escape if we neglect so great a salvation?
Hebrews 2:3-4
• After it was at the first spoken through the
Lord, it was confirmed to us by those who
heard, God also bearing witness with
them, both by signs and wonders and by
various miracles and by gifts of the Holy
Spirit according to His own will.”
Some who rely upon Faith Healing
Leave it all up to God.
• Some religious groups will not allow medical
intervention or prevention by claiming all is
according to the will of God.
• But they do not practice such. Why do they feed
their children, and clothe their children, and
other things? If the child broke their arm, they
would go to the doctor to set it properly, why not
let God fix it?
• If everything is God’s will, why do the daddy’s go
to work? Why not let God provide?
• They are inconsistent in their application.
• Faith: belief in something, form of doctrine,
practice, affiliation to some religious
dogma or institution. Putting your trust in
your God.
• Healing: to make well, to return to a
previous state of health or condition.
Our Problem
• When we put these two words in the same
sentence or phrase, we shy away from
them. The denominational world has
abused this phrase so much that we do
not want to participate in their evil deeds.
• The sad part is that we even deny that
Faith Healing exists today.
• We deny the misapplication of such, we
should accept the scriptural faith healing.
Faith Healing according to
the word of God
• Healing is necessary when something or
someone is weakened, and suffering.
• When your faith is weak, you must
strengthen it. When we do so we have
faith healing.
• The question then becomes, “how do we
strengthen our faith?”
Easy Answer:
The Word of God!

the LORD in their trouble; He saved them
out of their distresses. He sent His word
and healed them, and delivered them from
their destructions.

for our transgressions, He was crushed for
our iniquities; the chastening for our well
being fell upon Him, and by His scourging
we are healed.” (By His stripes we are
2 Chronicles 7:12-14
• “Then the LORD appeared to Solomon at night
and said to him, ‘I have heard your prayer, and
have chosen this place for Myself as a house of
sacrifice. If I shut up the heavens so that there
is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour
the land, or if I send pestilence among My
people, and My people who are called by My
name humble themselves and pray, and seek
My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I
will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and
will heal their land.

were sorrowful, but God told them not to
be sad, but happy that they had returned
to God’s word as their guide.
Faith Healing Does Exist Today
• It comes from the word of God.
• When the people heard the word, they
repented and started serving God, once
• This happens to us also.
• When we read and study God’s word, our
faith is healed and made stronger

word to our lives, we become strong in our
